Outdoor Public Shooting Ranges Wi/Ill

Anybody know of any outdoor public shooting ranges for rifles and handguns in southern Wisconsin or northern Illinois.

There's excellent range in Bristol...it's near Kenosha Wi. Here's the link.

Bristol Range is a pretty good range if you live North of the city (Chicago). I usually hit it oncea year before deer season. Prices sure have gone up over the past few years, but I guess that's typical around Chicago. They do run a pretty good range there though. Just a warning though, From September on to opening day of deer season, that place is pretty crowded. Be prepared to wait for a shooting lane. I usually go on Fridays during that time, a little less crowded. Make sure you get good directions of you go, it'sa little off the beaten path if you haven't been to that area before.

That is a great range. If you are into archery just down the road on HWY 50 is the Kenosha Bowman club. Great indoor and outdoor ranges but membership is required.

Bristol is nice, I have one closer but its only a 100yd range, go there when I need 200yds,

In the fall and winter months now they allow the public on Friday nights for $5.

I didn't know they had open shoots now during the winter. I think I am going to join this summer anyways so it won't matter.
