Any Pike Co. IL Residents here?

If so, I would like some of your input on deer huntingRay Norbut State Park. I live in Champaign (3 hours NE) of Pike Co. and had always hunted private ground, but decided to "challenge" myself this year and I am wanting to hunt as close to Pike Co. as possible without shelling out thousands of dollars to hunt in my state. So any of you with information about bow and gun hunting there, I'd LOVE to hear from you guys, maybe even meet up with you. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks in advance.

Ray Norbut is awefully small and everybody wants to hunt in Pike county. There is a place in Cass county called Jim Edgar Panther Creek that might suit you better. I have hunted there several times. The sheer size and lay of the land will be more like what you hunt over near Champaign. Deer numbers are good and they have QDM. The big thing is that non resident pressure is controlled by a drawing.
