Im trying to drawA tag For iowa this year and was wondering if anyone had any advice for good areas or good property always could help out with chores in exchange for permission to hunt.

Any of the public lands around unit 5 or 6 would be great. If you stay away from Albia you will get private land permission easier than anywhere in the US. Extremely easy and accomodating farmers there due to low NR hunter pressure. My buddy got 5 yeses in 5 tries down there last time. Had too much land to even hunt.

I used to live 15 miles from Albia, and still hunt the area, there is lots of public land and plenty of private land in the area. alot of ground south and east of Albia is tied up

Thanks everyone... I would never go with an outfitter. Too damn expensive and they couldnt do anything for me that I couldnt do for myself
