Default Missouri Ammunition registration

On Monday, March 3, the Missouri Senate Judiciary Committee will likely
consider Senate Bill 1200, authored byState Senator Joan Bray (D-24).

SB1200 would require that by 2009, only "coded" ammunition could be
legally sold in Missouri. Encoded ammunition would be registered to the
purchaser and would include the date of transaction, the purchaser's
name, date of birth, driver's license number, and the serial number of
the ammunition. Moreover, the database in which the coded ammunition
information would be stored would be created by a new ammunition tax
applied to each round of ammunition sold.

This will never fly as there are to many legislators that are hunters in both the Senate and House. Another "City" legislator trying to kill the rest of us. Join the NRA!

This is a bunch of crap. I don't know how it would help anything but the anti's. Get one thing passed and then step up tosomething else. [:@]

They just went through this in Illinois, it was never passed. Maybe the Illinois lawmakers do have a brain........oh god, what did I just say? Forget that last comment.

Hopefully the bill dies in committee. Either way, it's chance of passage is zero.
