WI Bear TAGS

I was just wondering if anybody had recieved a tag yet they are due out before next saturday.

(I can skin a buck or run a trout line)

Yes,I had a nice surprise when I went to the mailbox today. I drew a bear tag. This will be my first try at bear hunting. Now I must start planning.

Yup, my Class A Bear Harvest License Notification arrived today too.

Hope he has very small ears, hehehehhehehhe.

Nub I have not made up my Mind yet I thougth that I would use the old smokepole but I cant hit a damm thing with it other than paper. A bow kill would be awesome also, But with this being a once in every 4 to 6 year deal I just dont know what to take I would really like a Rug but then will it mean as much if I use the Rifle. I just dont know yet. This will be the first time I am hunting anything that is not a whitetail of a turkey. How about you Nub was your first moose trip with the bow? 1sagittarius Did you ever hunt bear before ? What you going to use for a weapon P.S I guess this means I havnt ruled out pocket knifes or spears yet Cheese-head

I' ve taken 3 bears and a moose, all with a bow. On my first bear hunt, I had a gun along on the trip. I must say, I' m glad I left it in camp and took my bow out instead. Nothing beats the thrill of taking these animals with a bow. Surely that smokepole of yours can reach out 20 yards?
