Default IL 2nd Season

Just seeing who all out there is heading out for IL's 2nd season? I shot a doe 1st season and still have an either-sex tag. So I am holding off for a buck bigger than the two I havetaken in the past, which won't take much, or at least that is the plan. Good luck.

Took days off from work! Leaving tonight, can't wait, got a new barrel w 3x9x35 scope mounted. 1st season I missed a few times early in the morning(6:20am), still got a nice doe,now I invested in the scope. We'll see if it helps. Good luck everyone!!!

Thats called gutting it in the woods, getting it back to my buddies house and hosing it out with water and letting it "drip dry" all day yesterday. My tailgate was covered in blood Thursday morning after I gutted it. I'm just picky about my truck. I cleaned the blood off as soon as I got the deer out of the woods. Now my secret is out.......

I also got a deer first season, a button buck. I always apply and get a second season only permit. Can't limit myself to just the first season.

Two slow days at Lowden-Miller. way too windy for deer to be moving unless pushed.

I went out Thursday evening, and today all day. Thursday I bumped 4 deer going in...today my buddy sat in my stand and killed two little ones...but I did not see one deer today.

2nd season was slow! I had no luck, very few guys did. Muzzleloader might be good if the weather isn't like this weekend.
