Default Illinois time change

Now that we have been able to enjoy the extension of shooting hours to 1/2 hr after sunset for firearms season (I didn't shoot anything), I have to ask what people think about it.

My personal opinion is that while it might be good for the individual hunter, there are reasons we have high quality deer hunting in Illinois and shooting hours ending at sunset during firearm season was one of them. It seems to me that this is just whittling away at our quality hunting in this state, probably at the urging of insurance companies.

I have a friend that made a good point though. He said "There's always been a ton of a**holes who stayed out late anyway. At least now I can do it too and be legal."

Ditto!!!

Opening day, I think legal shooting time was around 6:08am in Clark Co. and at 5:46 I heard a 3 shot sequence. I couldn't even see the hill 40 yards in front of me at 5:46, what in HELL are these people shooting at? Even if they are right on a field edge, we had very little moon this season.I HATE people who think they are above the laws. I wish we had 200 C.O's in every county during gun season.
