Default Hunting----Edgar, Clark, Crawford, Coles?

Anyone traveling close by Clarksville Ill.should stop by Millcreek Rest. they are having a big buck/doe contest for the entire firearm season......including muzzleloader season! You must enter before the begining of the season which you are hunting! $5 to enter and winner takes pot, heaviest buck/doe wins, you can alsocheck multiple deer!!!!!!!Its a good place to check outthe big boys and girls, since there are no longer any check stations!

Good luck to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I'm late in responding, left for the opener of firearm! To answer your question its like 6-7 miles from Super 8. Take Rt 1 south (1 mi.) Go west on Rt. 40 (1mi.) West on Clarksville Rd (look for the sign to Millcreek Lake)(4-5mi).

If you are going to be down there for 2nd season &/or muzzleloader you can sign up before the start of each season! The current weight to beat for buck is 212lb. and 121lb for doe. Archery is 238.8lbs for buck and 113??? I think for doe?

They are distributers of the Illinois Deer Harvest pins also, they are listed under the DNR as Millcreek Bait & Tackle... You have to have the tag on your deer filled out before they will give you a pin.

Good luck to all in the upcoming 2nd Firearm Season!!!!!!!!
