Id like to send out a big good luck to all the Wisconsin youth hunters that are hunting this weekend. I know the heat has been unbareable but dont let that bother you. Go out and have some fun and shoot a big one. I want to see pics when you get back!
My little ladys daughter shot her first in Rome. I was with her other daughter and didnt do so well. Its gonna be tough living that down!

Hunted near Antigo, no luck, Daughters first hunt.Very warm & humid.
She has watch too many hunting shows, expecting instant getification.
Lasted about 2 hours.
Just remember it's not always about killing something............the fact she went out and got some experience under her belt is a huge step in the right direction.
Rain, thunder, lightning keep us out of the treestands Saturday morning. 80+ degrees Saturday afternoon. 7+ inches of rain the previous 5 days. One foodplot 12" under water. 6 people (3 dads, 3 boys) no one saw anything .... except my son, who shot a doe Sunday morning 7:15.Had the deer registered, cut up, in the cooler on ice by 9:30 am. Felt more like July than October.
