WISCONSIN GROUSE

Anyone hunting grouse in central Wisconsin? Was thinking of heading to Sandhill Wildlife Area and was wondering if anyone ever hunted there? Any suggestions on where to go in Clark, Wood, or Marathon counties? Not looking for specific spots, but just public land to hunt?

Clark County has some great grouse hunting south of HWY 95 between Neillsville and Merilan.

Stop at a Gander Mtn and they have WI public land maps.

I dont know the name of it but it is between Merrill and Anitgo, 26,00 acres and I used to see ALOT of grouse there. Never saw too many at sandhill, but on ly hunted turkey there for one season.Hope this helps.
