Default WI Muzzleloader

Anyone try the late muzzleloader season in Wisconsin? I have a muzzleloader but because the season is right after the gun season Im seriously doubting it would be worth it. Any input?

Its great! to be honest, my neighbor shot a great buck during the muzzy season a couple years ago. I would have had a great 11-13 pointer lastyear if I woudlnt have hesitated.

Last year was my 1st time with the Flintlock and looking forward to this season! I seen a couple deer on the state land I hunt and hope to see some this year with in range so I can put that patched round ball right thru the vitals!!!!!!!!! Good luck this season!

You are missing out. The late season is one of my favorite times to hunt. Muzzleloader or bow it doesn't matter. The woods are so quiet. I wouldn't pass it up for nothing.

I agree it sure is nice having the woods to yourself! The colder the better during the late season!

I have seen some giants in the woods that week after gun season.. It is a good time to go just for the simple fact that the woods is calming down a bunch and the deer will need to put on the feed bag.. I love muzzle loading. My brother actually takes both weeks off, gun season and muzzle loader... I also worked with a guy that takes that week off every year just because the woods is a little quieter and he shoots a decent buck every year.. He does hunt gun season but saves his time for muzzle loader..
