Default Nebraska Gobblers

how are you huskers doing so far, lets see if we can get poeple from other states to realize that Nebraska is arguably the best state for gobblers.
i recently missed a double beard only because there were 2 other big toms right behind me about 10 yards and they started puttin like something was wrong. no problem i called in the same gobbler 3 days later and got him, he had a 11 in beard and a 7 inch, dad and brother each got a 10 inch beard.

Do you know any good public hunt areas in Nebraska? I'm going to go for my slam. A private ranch that doesn't charge an arm or a leg would be good also.

there are actually a couple of places around omaha that might work, place called neale woods or boyer chute. not positive if hunting is prohibited. also look for CRP land with big yellow signs, they're free to the public.

Check out the 5 beard from one of my forum members. It's an amazing bird.

Just back from hunting KS and NE....... Landowners were very friendly and receptive. We got permission to hunt everywhere we asked.

Yes, you can't go wrong. If you are nice and respectful you can hunt just about anywhere. Where abouts were you?
