Default Ohio's new deer limit for 07

Great news Ohio has up the number of deer in each zone in early bow season. Still just one buck. but the antlerless tags you can get one more in zone A two more in zones B and three more in Zones C On top of the same number as last years. good luck too everyone in Ohio this year.

I must say that I am not in favor of the increased antlerless permits. They claim that the deer numbers are steady, so why all of a sudden do they need to kill a lot more does? Where I hunt the deer are no where near overpopulated. I just hope that it isn't something that we all regret later.

I am glad to see the extra permits up here in Knox county, While I agree the population isnt exploding everywhere... Up here onstate route 36 between Centerburg and Mt Vernon there are 43 dead car hit deer in the ditch, Id rather see hunters harvest them and enjoy the meat, then drive by and watch them rot in the ditch....

The more I hear about this it's sounding like herd reduction !! I was hoping that all would learn from the disaster here in PA...the deaths of button bucks shot for does seems to be the problem...GOD, where will I travel to next after they screw that state up also....never thought I'd see the day!!

There are hundreds of deer killed along 30, especially between Mansfield and Wooster. There are tons of deer in that area. The best news is that Ohio will allow concealed Casrry during deer hunting.

Guys and Gals watch you selves with your wholesale doe permits, in NY they tried the same thing a couple of years ago, shoot a lots of does, then a couple of bad winters we werein trouble--Lot - Lot less deer. WE had farmers and insurance compaines pushing for this, sportsman suffered.
