Default Turkeys Gobbling

Anyone been hearing any turkeys gobble in Central/ West Central Illinois? I haven't had time to get out any lately.

Im from Macoupin County and have already seen them strutting with hens. I think its way too early if you ask me. Might be an interesting season. Hope the hens aren't nested up too soon.

The warm weather this early isn't helping.

I know this doesn't really help because Its in Minnesota and not Illinois, but yesterday saw 22 turkeys, and 2 toms following along in full strut red neck and all. I was thinking that it seemed early, but you can never predict animals.

Went to Site M this morning, heard about 10 gobbling where I went. 30 or 40 turkeys total, so they're still grouped up. Several nice toms and a bunch of jakes.

Saw three big toms in full strut last night with about 10 hens. Blew my hoot call and they gobbled. Its way too early!! getting nervous for what season will bring. I have fourth season in Northern zone. May 6th.
