No Wisconsin Turkey tag

My son filed online for his bear preference points and spring turkey. Cost him $7. Come turkey permit time, he didn't get one so we went online and they don't have him applying for them. He has a credit card receipt where the DNR took the $7, so now he has to go to an office I suppose to get this straightened out. I told him they should give him whatever week he wantsnot the later weeks which are leftover because he should've had a chance at the earilier weeks like everybody else. By the way the receipt is dated in Nov.

Has this happened to anybody else?

Just because you apply for a certain area at a certain time,doesnt mean youre going to get it.They collect aplications,and have a draw.when the tags available in that area for that seasion are gone,they are gone.Thats the way it goes.In march the available tags will be over the counter sales.You can buy one a day for whatever is there.

Furgitter, from the sounds of his story he applied online and then it didn't show up in the online records that he applied. That happened to a buddy of mine. He had the receipt from the online application and took it to the DNR office. They gave him a permit for the week he had applied for.
