Hey folks,
Iwas wondering which of the seasons would have the best opportunity to take a nice buck in Iowa? I need to decide which one to apply for. I have 2 prefernce points already, not including the draw for this year. I am considering hunting early bow season, 1st gun season, or late into the muzzle loading season. My guess is that the 2nd gun season has the deer very spooked, as well as the first part of the muzzle season. Late October, through Nov will not work into my schedule. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mark
If you have two points and time in November I would say go for a bow tag. I run a small outfitting business in Southern Iowa, so if you are looking for a place to go let me know. Good Luck.
There really isn't a good time or place in Iowa to take a nice buck, we don't have any here.
