Anybody seeing much for deer? I saw five on Saturday and four on sunday. I don't think the wind helped any but the deer just weren't moving. Do you think there are as many deer as the DNR says there are???

I shot a decent eight point on opening morning. Other than that, I haven't seen much. And from what I hear, there aren't many people seeing or shooting much either. I'm in northwest Wi.

You think your having a hard time seeing deer! The deer have been pounded hard around here since last March I believe. You know, they want to kill them all. I sat for a week straight and saw 1 deer. Their still around, I see their tracks and scrapes. I think their moving at night from all the pressure. No I don't think the DNR knows how to count deer. I can say that openly because I'm already in the Eradication Zone.<img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle> I raised a big stink last year about the validity (that the word I'm looking for?) of their SAK formula and the next thing I know, bam CWD, need to kill them all. Not that they monitor these message boards to see if anyone thinks their idiots for not counting nubbins in the buck kill for all those years.

I'm in SE Wisconsin and have seen very little. I know with the number of hunters in the Milwaukee metro area there is probably a lot of pressure on the deer , but the deer around here are like ghosts.

My friend's son took his first buck opening morning on their property. I have not seen any in my woods. Of course a large group of men who decided to trespass and drive my woods did not help. (They thought they were on federal land. Funny, they can drive a $30,000.00 4X4 truck and can't spend $15.00 on a Platt book so they know where the heck they are) Not a lot of shooting going on in the woods, but I have seen a few nice ones tied on the back of some cars headed back to the southern end of the state... Good luck everyone, still lots of time out there...

I seen six does opening morning and that was it. My stepfather took a nub buck and a doe and a six pointer on opening day but the rest of our group didn't get anything although they missed about four others including a very nice ten pointer. but after the opening day nothing.

have seen very little movement since opening of bow season. I used to see about 30 deer a day on average and this year I have gone 20 to 30 days of not seeing anything. Not a lot of guns hots around me, except for the trespassers and poachers that are next door. I have been fortunate enough to harvest 4 so far this year. 2 bucks and 2 does, all with bow. Missed several others, and sadly lost a few blood trails for various reasons. None of which include lack of effort. I am down around the southern part of wisconsin
