Anyone still out there doing any bowhunting in the galesburg, monmouth, knoxville, area? I'm thinking of driving up to my parents in galesburg around the 11th and wondered if anyone is doing any good or seeing alot of does to thin out. I have a buddy between Galesburg and Monmouth that owns a nice farm and was going to pick up a non-resident licence and a few permits to fill my dad's freezer for the winter. Any info would be appreciated. I'll bet it's getting damn cold out now........
the deer are not moving far at all....w/ the snow and wind today i saw nothing. If you find a core area where there are deer ....they will move to the food. Driving from work, if I see 1 deer there at least 4 with it. They are in the winter herd.

Thanks alot for the info. I appreciate it!! I know right where they cross open areas in the fence and low areas of the fence coming and going from bedding to feeding areas. So I guess my best bet will be to set up 20 yards off of one of those areas. It looks like it's going to be getting a little warmer and maybe even a little bit of rain to melt some of the snow by the time I get up there. A few warmer days may get some more movement out of them. Good luck getting another shot at that nice buck....hope ya stick him!!!!
