Default Things are starting to heat up!

Went out for an evening hunt tonight. What a night I had. I saw 8 different bucks and 4 does, 2 coyotes and skunk. One of the bucks will probably score about 150-160. He was pretty decent for our neck of the woods. He was also about 100 yards away, much to my dismay. The coolest was a pair of 2 year old 8 pointers going nuts all over each other. They acted more like MT. Sheep they way they were ramming their heads together. This was not a little light tickling of the tines. They ate it up for about 20 minutes. All within 10 yards of my tree. Watched asmall 6 pointer work a little sappling over. He wasn't much, but dont tell him that, causehe doesn't know it...yet. Anyhow, hope everybody else is having as much fun as I am. Things are really starting to heat up in Southern IL.

Sounds like a good time. I was able to watch a small buck nudge a doe around a little bit last night. Everytime he would take a step in her directino she would run. He eventually got mad and headed over to the field edge and proceeded to make a scrape, hit a licking branch, and pee in the scrape. Also saw two dandy's together feeding in a bean field about 300 yards away.

Sounds great. What county do you hunt? I hunt in Hardin but have not been able to get down there yet I have next week off and am planning to go some during that week.

I hunt in Pope mostly, but do hunt a little in W. Ky as well. Even though I never shot, it was by far one of the best trips to the woods.
