Default Anybody seeing any activity in Bayfield Co., WI??

Getting pumped up for the 9 day rifle season and just wondering what the sign is like up there? I hear the deer pop. is way up again this year but this info came from a non-hunter. Are they rutting yet??

Lots of Deer in Iron River area. Shot two in the T-zone season. They are just starting to dig scrapes this week. Not in full-rut yet. Was able to call in bucks this weekend.

Good deal. With the season being a week late this year I hope we still catch some of the rut. We hunt over near Siskwet Lake. I just talked to a friend up there that said they counted 61 deer on or near 13 between Herbster and Corny.

I was in the Delta area scouting for a new rifle stand (hopefully far away from the ATV idiots. Starting to see scrapes and ther was a lot of daytime movement on Hwy "H" & "A." The deep freeze coming this weekend oughta get things boiling.
Good Luck, Keep your rifle pointed in a safe direction and KEEP THE VEHICLES ON THE ROADS!!!

I live in Brule, Wi. There has been quite a bit of rutting activity the last few weeks. With the cold weather this last week, things are looking even better. We have an inch of snow on the ground, and the bucks are really starting to rut hard.

Jetdriver, I'm heading up to the Cable area in 2 days -- can't wait. Was up earlier before Zone T and saw sign but no deer. Going to Phipps for the Matinee on Thursday, stop by if your in the area.
