Harding County Public Land Mule deer hunt
Can someone tell me where I can find a detailed listing of Public lands available in Harding County SD. I am planning a muley hunt there in Nov.My uncle knows a few landowners out there but I don't want to put all my eggs in that basket. We will be in unit 35C. Any help would be much appreciated. I don't want to tread on someone else's property. Anyone hunted in unit 35C and had any luck?

RE: Harding County Public Land Mule deer hunt
There's quite a bit of walk-in land out there.
If you're not familiar, land designated as 'walk-in' is the next best thing to public/state land. It's privately owned, but the owners get money from the state and, in turn, anyone can hunt there (without needing to askthe landowner's permission)as long as they don't bring any vehicles in.
