Does anyone know approximately how long or how many perferance points are needed for a non-res to get a tag in WI - Zone A?

I have never got a tag, I was told you need over 5 points before you'll have a chance of getting one. Thats why I just put in for the Preference points. I'll have 5 after this year! So I thought about trying for a tag for next season! Good luck!

Shouldn't matter if you are a resident or not. I'd say5-6 points and you have a good shot of drawing a tag.

Thanks Janesburg! I have land to hunt in Both A and C but will most liely Hunt A. Looks like I'll be waiting a while!

Whereabouts in Zone A do you have land? And how long before you think you're going to have the tag?

I've got land that I can hunt south and east of Ladysmith. I figure it'll take me about 6 years to get a tag.
