South Dakota Archery Antelope hunts

My dad and I are looking at doing a south dakota archery antelope hunt when the season opens in August before I have to be back at school and are planning on a "do-it-yourself" type hunt. We would be staying in a hotel and then using double-bull blinds at waterholes or on game trails, but really need someplace to start looking for public land and or 4-5 leasable land. Get ahold of the SD game and fish and they can provide you with a book
that has walk in areas in it. These are privately owned ranches that
the game and fish leases from the landowners for public hunting
purposes. There are a lot of them in northern Butte county and also
Harding county. Both are in the northwes corner of the state. You
would want to stay in Belle Fourche or Buffalo. There are antelope on
just about all of the walk in areas out there and they basically get no
bowhunting pressure.
