Default Missouri Shed Hunting

Just wondering if anyone else is having any luck? I have just started shed hunting this year, went out for three days about 16 hrs. and came up with 2 sheds. One was 4 pts. and the other was 5pts. not huge by any means, the 5 had a 19.5" MB and 7" G2 and the 4 was smaller. Does anyone know when is the best month for sheds is in Missouri and any tips for best areas to look?

I would say just about anytime now. I think your best bet would be here at the beginning of march.

I have never really been shed hunting, but I did get one shed stuck in the drive tire of a tractor I was driving! Most expensive antler I have ever found. Sometimes I can spot them from the tractor while I am clipping pastures in the summer.

They should be starting to really drop anytime now I'd think. Although we've been seeing several bucks around our farm coming into the wheat fields at night still sporting head gear.

I find most of mine during turkey season.

WOW what a day!! I went out today for 6 hours and and found a prize 5 point shed 21" MB....Typical with no broken tynes or chew marks....This shed hunting is really getting to be alot of fun!! I will be out all weekend looking.....and give an update later with pics. It looks like they are really starting to fall.

No, this one has been on the ground for a week or two. The tines even felt a little rougher (dirty) from being rained on.

I just got back in from shed hunting in Mich. Got lots of woods and swamp out back, but you can't hunt there. Didn't find any sheds, but I did find a rusted up sks????. I guess if those deer are armed I not heading out there again!
