I'm pumped, 1 week until some hardcore hunting.

I have semester break starting next wednesday and going for 12 days, I took off work so I'm just going to hunt probably everyday.

I was able to go out hunting last Sunday evening. It was the first time at the spot since last year. I seen a few does, and a couple bucks. There was a really nice buck bedded about 50 yards from my stand that I didn't see until I jumped up, climbing up the stand. Had some really nice long tines with average 18-20 " spread i'm guessing. My father is going to put up my new game cam this weekend by my stand, so hopefully I can get some pics of something. Can't wait to hunt it hard, even though its just a little patch of timber, the deer love to stay in it.

Go get 'em! I'm loving this cool weather and hopefully it hangs around for a while! Next week should be prime pre-rut type hunting! Calls should be pretty effective. Hey, are you working today? I was thinking of heading out there at lunch today to pick up some odds and ends.

Yeah Wolfen I do work, but not until 2pm. I hope this cold weather also holds up, weather is perfect for hunting, hoepfully it'll make for a good rut.

I'm with you this cold weather sure should help. I am taking off of work the week of the 28th and meeting up with my hunting buddy to bow hunt the late pre-rut. I'm getting pretty excited to say the least. Good luck!
