Default Indiana 2nd rut

In the last three days have seen 3 bucks breeding does. One was a Booner on a big doe, another big eight looked like on the downhill side breeding a yearling and the last a small eight gettin a yearling. Still have a week of muzzleloader and till New Years day to bow hunt. Wish the frickin wind would lay.

Don't fear the wind, bro. Layer up and lay waste.

While ice fishing yesterday, saw a small buck chasing a group of does around NE of Lake Webster.

Got 22 keeper 'gills. My buddy had 2 tip-ups...with nothing on the other end.

Next weekend some of the bigger lakes should be good-to-go. Smaller lakes had 4-5" of ice. Lake James was 90% open water..yet Jimmerson was almost covered with ice. Webster was 50/50. I wanted to check Loon..but didn't get the chance.
