Default My first buck!

Gotta brag about the deer I got... Thanks to my dad for teachin me to hunt and helping me get this one!

We measured him and are guessing he's close to a 175 gross... 11 points with 3 kickers..... We'll see when we can get him measured officially...

He was taken just east of Lawrence KS... I couldn't be happier!

Anyone else taken any big bucks outta the midwest?

Personally... I like that hat... best feature of the picture. [8D]

Just kidding, that buck is marvelous, especially for the first one, you're gonna have a hard time toppin' that one, dear!

Congrats! By the way, my daughter has a t-shirt that says, "As a matter of fact, I DO hunt like a girl" It would go great with that hat!

I'm gonna have to look for a shirt that says that... lol... i love it.

By the way - does anyone know of any online contests that you can enter big bucks in? My neighbor was saying a friend of his entered a couple of his big bucks online and had some fun with it... He couldn't remember the web addresses though.... Any ideas?

We weren't really looking for him on that property we were on... We'd been out scouting and seen absolutely no signs of a big buck... but there he was Saturday morning. Apparetly they're around area - but I don't think there are too many! Especially since i shot that one... Lol...
Thanks for all the compliments on him! He heads to the taxidermist tomorrow!
