All I can say is, you can KEEP your crazy cats over there! Now I'm not only gonna have to build a 10 ft fence between Indiana and Illinois, but OHIO too!? [:@] I would NEVER be able to walk through the woods alone if we had anything like that in my part! The coyotes alone give me the heebie jeebies, and I've never even seen one anywhere close to me!

I wouldn't worry about a Bobcat. They stay well away of people. My guess is that you go have them in your area Huntin Girl, but have just never seen one. We have them all over here in KS, but i have only seen one in my lifetime. And they only get up to a whoppin 30-35 pounds, And that is Huuuuuuge when it comes tobobcat standards.

Actually, we probably DON'T have them in my area, Fort Wayne, Indiana is a little too industrialized. We haven't had any reports of them, I think they have 'em in Southern Indiana, but not up here in Frickin' Ft.Wayne Incorporated. That's all they do around here, cut down trees, put up buildings. The numbers of dead deer I've found along the side of the city streets is getting ridiculous! [:-] I think they need to increase our bag limits around here... It's not even gun season yet and they are running all over the place!
