Just checked weather.com and found out that the temps this weekend are supposed to be over 70+ degrees again. This is horrible, cut me a break here mother nature, give us a dang cold front!!
I checked one website that said highs of 79 this weekend...does anyone this that this could effect rutting?? This is my first year bowhunting, so I am never hunting during this time of year anyways.
Well if you mean rutting right now, then I would say pretty much not at all, if any. There is virtually no true rutting going on this early anyway, just some immature bucks chasing does just to be chasing does. If you mean the effect on the real rut later on, who knows. I really don't think it will matter as long as it's cooled off during the pre-rut period. The way I look at it is it's the middle of October; it HAS to start cooling down and staying cool sooner than later......right?

I wasnt suggesting that the rut was currently going on, because i surely havent noticed any signs at all...but it should be starting within the next couple weekends, not counting this one, i think.
