Muzzleloader Questions for Illinois
 

I looked at the DNR website and couldn't find my answers, so I thought I'd throw my two questions out here real quick. Can you put a scope on your blackpowder rifle in Illinois? I'm pretty sure you can, but I've heard some states don't allow it. Also, I know there's a seperate muzzleloader-only season and you can use your unfilled shotgun tags for it, right?Thanks!

as for the scope yes as for as i know u can,,as for the tags i have heard that u can use shotgun tags during ML season but im not entirly sure

One more thing to note:

During the second firearm season (Dec 1 - 4) youmay alsousea muzzleloader permit with a muzzleloader..

as for the scope question yes you can use a scope. as for the other question...you cannot use an unfilled shotgun tag for the muzzleloader only season. you can still get muzzleloader only tags from dnr the last time i checked for the muzzleloader season. also, incase you didnt know, you can use your muzzleloader during the shotgun seaon and use your shotgun tags for the muzzleloader during shotgun season only.
