Anybody know how the hunting is in area 4, Wayne National Forest. Might be planning a trip next year. Thanks.

If you talking about Wayne Natl Forest in Lawrence co.in Ironton Ohio ,they havevery good numbers of deer there ,they harvest 2,840 deer last year !

Haven't hunted there personally, but know some that have. Heard that it is pretty good huntin'.

I have been toying with the idea of going out to Ohio for a trip this season. I got a bunch of info from Ohio's DNR website (also called and spoke with them too). Also, a neighbor of mine is originally from Chillicothe (sp?) and has told me about how massive the deer are in Ohio.

The Wayne Nat'l Forest is a prime spot, also the counties of Coshockton or Muskingum something like that are LOADED with deer!

Why is it that everyone outside of Ohio thinks we have huge deer crawling out of the woodwork, while a lot of Ohio hunters go out of state looking for better hunting opportunities??

I love traveling to other states and hunting. And I'd loveto kill a big buck but my main goal is to just find deer and harvest a few. Dont worry hunohio, i'm not gonna kill all of your precious deer.
