Default no acorns in NE IA

For the second year in a row, we have had a late frost in my part of Iowa. It killed the blossoms that produce our acorns. There are no acorns at all this year in town or the timber I hunt. My son says a friend claims to have nuts in his yard, but I haven't seen them. Last year the IA DNR was asking for donations of acorns for their tree nursery. I guess I won't be seeing deer under the oaks again this year. Jim
