Illinois deer pins.......

As a part of the new DNR Direct program, you can get your 2005 deer pins starting Oct. 1 by submiting an online application to dnr.state.il.us and the pin(s) will be mailed to you.

The Big Buck pins are also available, but cost $5 each with all procedes going to the Sportsman Against Hunger program (a good program). For BB pins call 1-800-720-3249 from within Illinois and call 1-217-782-1687 from outside of Illinois, or go online to www.ilcf.org/shop/List.asp?CatlD=5.

Big buck qualification standards are (for firearm): minimum 140 for typical and minimum 160 for non-typical.

Deer pins for archery will remain green/yellow and firearm will be tan/brown (like we had some years ago). Both will have 2005 on them.

I never got my pin from last firearm season - they said they ran out and would mail me one - haven't seen it yet.
Is it the same number to find out about last year's pins?
