What can you tell me about the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge in Ohio?

How is the deer population up there? Does the area hold many mature bucks? Any info about the area would be appericiated. I am considering filling out for the DNR archery hunt there.

Don't bother applying , I sent my application for bow hunting in the other day and I want no one else to apply . LOL

I have never deer hunted inside but I saw several wall hangers while duck hunting there.

The deer population is down from the high before they started letting in deer hunters.
But still good to great depending what area you draw.

I have hunted border farms ( I live 7 miles from there) and killed several huge buck years back.
