You can do it online at the illinois dnr website and you get into a random daily drawing or a big set date drawing. if you need any more info just let me know.

I think the first lottery shotgun deer apps were due by April 29. The second lottery is due around May or June (I think). Depending on which county you hunt in, sending it in after the 1st lottery isn't a big deal.

The deadline for the first lottery was April 29. The deadline for the second lottery is August 12. Deadline for the random daily drawing is september 15- November 7. But most counties go through all their tags in the second lottery. Make sure you check the second season option. If their are no full season tags left you can get a second season only tag. You can apply online or print off the permit from their website.
