    Hi John,

Public land can be crowded but not always. If things get crowded, try a trick I learned from an outfitter near my camp...
access by water. A canoe will do fine. It takes some extra effort but can give big rewards. I believe 3C is bordered by the Delaware. Take a float and check out the islands. They're often public ground seldom hunted. Pressured bucks swim out and stay. Even when unpressured, the rich soils almost always grow tons of deer food.
Another favorite is the steep hills that end in water. whether you walk in or boat in, most hunters won't bother with the really steep stuff. Some of my biggest ANF bucks had to be fished out of Tionesta Lake and the Allegheny river after I shot em and they tumbled downhill into the water.
Look at the topos and any ground thats a mile or more from a road but near canoeable water is probably prime deer hunting.
All the advice in the world is no substitute for boots on the ground but maybe this could be a good start.
