What you find with low end scopes... they either work or they don't. Those that work seem to hold up just fine. Those that don't seem to break real fast. Also perhaps the glass quality is not the same as the $200-$400 dollar scopes but then neither is the price.

If you want, spend what you think. A good money scope that will not let you down or break the bank is a Nikon Pro Staff 2-7x32mm scope. Great scope, great warranty, tough as nails.

dirt008 I purchased the 1.5-6x40mm Illuminated Traditions Scope and their 1x32mm scope. Both of them are still going strong. That Illuminated scope with a battery produces a very nice red cross hair that is easy to pick up in low light. Although in some States it is illegal.

The base was purchased through Tradition Arms. It is for their Yukon rifle. So far it has worked flawless. The 1x32mm scope is on a Green Mountain Barrel. And it works great.

If you really want to hear a horror story. On one of my Wolverines I shoot a 2.5x20mm Simmons Pro Sport scope. It cost a whole $19.95 and I have not been able to break that yet after hundreds of shots.
