The Genesis did fine with the blackhorn 209. No igntion problems and clean up was easy. Also accuracy was excellent.

If you don't mind me asking how did your genesis like the Blackhorn 209?

A couple reasons. My Genesis also shoot the 250 grain Shockwaves and XTPs very well. A local store had a close out on cards with 10 Barnes 250 grains for $4.95 a card. So I went and told them if they made me a deal I would buy all the cards they had. They agreed and I bought them out.

I'll have to check out those pyrodex pellets then it sounds. Any particular reason you went with the 250 barnes rather than the 300 grain?

The best group I ever shot with my Genesis was with two Pyrodex pellets and a 250 grain Barnes MZ Expander. But I ran out of them pellets and no one around here sells them. I tried the Triple Seven pellets and could not get the same kind of accuracy. So I went to loose Pyrodex with the rifle. I shoot 100-110 grains in it.

I really appreciate it. Thanks alot. I've been shooting the barnes mz expander with the mmp sabots and for the 200 I paid for the gun I'm pretty happy. I've got a bunch of the pellets I need to burn up but I've been hearing good things about loose powder say 75 to 95 grains. of 777.

I'm new to the site and have a Remington Genesis I've been wanting to put a scope on. I've been reading posts and trying to do some research when I came across a few threads where you talk about the traditions scopes. Now I know it's been a while but how is that scope holding up? Right now they have about 10 different ML scopes under $80 and it just worries me paying too little for such a valuable piece of the puzzle. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.
