Vacation Home Menominee County Michigan
Located in Powers Michigan, this home is the perfect vacation/hunting base. Located two minutes away from one of the U.P.'s largest public hunting land sections, (20,000-25,000 acres) this would make a perfect hunting camp or vacation home for outdoors men . It is also two minutes away from one of the U.P.s longest snowmobile/ ATV trails which spans over three counties. Have all the benefits to having a hunting camp without large tax bill. Annual taxes on the home is $280. The home has been fully restored from subfloor, to drywall, to brand new roof. This home is ready to be bought. The town the home is in is very small approximately 300 population. Which is useful for those who are looking for an escape from the busy day to day.
While it is small, it is cozy and has very inexpensive living costs. We purchased this house in 2012 and made a lot of changes. We redid all of the floors, all of the cabinets and counter tops, added closets, fixed dry wall and some ceilings, and got new appliances. While the house still needs some work in places aesthetically, it is structurally sound and very move-in ready. A new roof with 35 year shingles was added in 2013. The front consists of a wrap around porch, which is convenient for entertaining and grilling. This house is very close to US 2 & 41, which makes commutes simpler. It is near multiple businesses such as the BP gas station, Pinecrest Medical Care Facility, Fazer's Grocery Store, Family Dollar, and Subway. It is a one bedroom home, but the bedroom is very large and contains a large walk-in closet/laundry room which could be used as another bedroom. This makes it perfect for either a single person, a couple looking for a starter house, or even a couple who no longer has any children living at home and wants to downsize. The cost of living in this house is very inexpensive, and electricity bills stay very low all year round. This makes it less expensive to own this home than to rent a different one.
The current listed price is $32,000 much lower then value. For the price of a mid-sized sedan you could have a vacation home in the middle of prime U.P. deer country.
