shootin' silvers
Hit the Il. river for the first time this year for some silver shootin'.The boat got slimmed up,my bow got blown up and we took some very hard hits.We have never seen it this "good"in this part of the Il.I shot a couple at point blank and didn't shot one that was trying to impale itself on my arrow.We were only shooting females,fish herd management,but I'm sure some of the 100 plus that made it into the boat were males.Today the garage smells of fish and I think I will burn the cloths I had on.I shot 6 out of the air and Rich shot 17,his all time high.I can wait to do that again.Old man river is hard on boat and body.
