I had a couple of spare hours to try a little early bowfishing yesterday at Illinois Clinton Lake Saltfork Wetland Project. The fish were not to be found inside the levey area but I found them in the Saltfork creek that feeds into the levey area. They were pretty tough to see in the murky water with the wind and cloud cover. Eventually the sun came out and and of course I missed the 1st carp I spotted but I followed up that miss with a connecting shot on a female carp full of eggs and then another common.
