Default Shot my first coyote today!

25-yard shot. He stopped right in one of my shooting lanes like he was posing or something. Slightly quartering-to, but that arrow whipped through him and hit the ground on the otherside like he wasn't even there. He actually fell back onto the arrow, pushing it back out towards me, then turned, growling and snarling, and bit the arrow off! He then jumped up and bolted but he didn't go too far at all. It was all over in just a few seconds. He piled up about 20-yards away. I never lost sight of him.

Now if I could just hit a deer...

Congrats Steve!! That's a pretty yote.

I think you need to 'aim small, miss small' with the deer. You obviously can hit smaller targets.

I think you're right. That and pay more attention to the setting of my sight. The first doe I missed this year was at 15 yards, but my sight was set at 30. Funny how after 15+ years of bowhunting I can still get buck-fever so bad I forget all the important stuff.

Incredible shot Steve! The only coyotes I've see with a bow in my hand have been moving too fast to shoot. CONGRATS!

Congrats, Steve, have yet to see a yote from a stand this year. Usually do tho
I have yet to wack one with a bow either. My buddy cliff shot two red foxes last week the same day about an hour apart from his stand.
