Rice Lake 8/26

Went to rice lake looking fro Bigheads I'd heard were cruising around. When I got there the water was lower than I'd ever seen it.
I tried crossing the lake and had to raise the outboard and fan across. Now that is a shallow lake.
For some reason everything was super spooky. I tried just shutting down and sittting but still nothing would come close. Like there was a 50 yard force field around the ol Fan toon.
So I headed for the dam. It was almost clear out of the water.
Did I say the water was murky. yep Illinois river murky.
I could regail you with more tales of woe. But ythe bottom line is pitiful fishing, 3 silvers in the boat. 1 jumped 2 shot. Lots and lots and lots of turtles...
