Default Clinton, 6-29

Went to Clinton last night to guide a trip we donated to the McLean County Sportsmen club.
The water was slightly murky, but definately "shoot-able".
I was hoping to see a bunch of fish for these guys but it was not to be.
We (I) did see one of if not the biggest buffalo I've ever seen on Clinton Lake. Unfortunately my shooters never saw it. Even though it was right at their feet. To their defense it was fairly early (They hadn't shot much) and it was sneaking quickly through the weeds. It was very easy to estimate it's length by the pontoons. It was easily 40+"...

After that we saw very few fish other than shad. I appologized and offered to take them another time. I have never seen the fishing that slow on Clinton. We even saw another bowfishing boat and they said they only had one fish.

I wouldn't give up on it that easy. We all know how quickly fish activity can change...
