Guess I'll stay close to home till it heats up a little. Besides I gotta get ready to kill a turkey Monday morning.

ME too on the turkey hunt. Got a long beard right behind the house that actually woke me up the other morning gobbling so loud. I'd like to introduce him to my oneida.

We went to Carlyle below the dam last Friday. There were two boats of us. Did not see any big heads at all and very few gar. Personally I did not get a shot at anything. Of course there were other non bow fishing boats that had to say they were up all over the place on Thursday. I think that cold front last weekend had them down. the water is low, in fact as low as i have ever seen it. way below the culver pipes on the West side. Water could be a little clearer but who's complaining.

I was out there Sunday. Saw nothing on the lake at Hazlet in the morning - very windy and muddy. Saw some gar under the spillway but they were surfacing and dropping fast - took some shots but no luck. Saw maybe a half dozen bigheads but they were surfacing and dropping fast too. The tailwater creek was extremely muddy and didn't even get a shot off.
