Default 2010 Uncle Dave's Drill and Grill

July 17/18 Uncle Dave's Drill and Grill

To be held at Lake Shelbyville, Wolf Creek State Park Landing, and this year we'll have a mystery format that should be fair to all. For those day shooters, we'll start shooting on Saturday at 11:00 AM and then stop around 5 PM for our regular grill out/ fish fry and then later, those who wish to shoot at night can get after them with their lights ablaziing. Any questions or comments should be sent to robow7 here at HuntingNet.com

How is the water level at shelbyville this year?? Is it 13ft above normal table like last year or has it gone down?

I heard a report a week and a half ago that shelbyville is 10 feet over normal flood stage. I dont know if it will ever get right again That means it just comes down to carlyle and floods here too.

At least by now, we're getting used to bowfishing in the treetops.

Rob, is this still mostly a fun shoot?

Yea, mostly a fun shoot, with no big entry fee, but on the otherhand we have to limit the payout to only $1,000,000>>=====> Just kidding. I'm sure we'll have some neat prizes though, right Christine??? And btw, it is not uncommon at this time of year to have the water way up but by July to be way down. The last couple years were not the norm.

Water is down right now. 594.3 which is pretty much right near normal winter pool. Did quite a bit of damage this winter with the lake dropping so fast with thick ice on top. Hopefully its not gonna be a 3rd straight flood year in a row. Been shooting fish in my pasture the last 2 years now!
