Thanks, good to see you guys too. Hope to see you guys at the GLBC. I really want to make one of your shoots this year also. Of course, the weather is always the determining factor in a tournament. We've never had the optimum conditions for my shoot in the four years we've had it. Last year, we had the tornado warnings the night before and I think it made a lot of shooters not show up. I really hope we can get the weather so more people will come and see that there is good bowfishing up here in north central Indiana. Take Care. Dustin

I forgot to add Grass Carp as a payout. They can't win big fish due to pond shooting in the past.

I'm hearing that a lot lately. My three friends that I went up with the first 13 years with aren't going again this year. It's a tournament that I won't miss as long as I can walk. I've had so many memories, good and bad, and have now got to the point that I should be in the top twenty every year. I know Saginaw Bay well enough to find the fish when it looks like there isn't any.... I haven't been out yet because of all the rain we have had. I'm definitely ready to stick some fish.... Take care and good luck this year! Dusty

Dustin, for your shoot, can you recommend areas to bowfish for complete noobs to the area? (not specifics, just general recommendations)

I'm not sure we can make it over but if we do, we'll be completely clueless as to where to go.

Thumbs up

No Christine, I can't give "general areas" to shoot. I give specific areas to shoot for anyone that comes to my shoots. I'm about getting people to come and enjoy the bowfishing we have to offer. With the Wabash and Tippecanoe Rivers right in our backyard and the numerous lakes and creeks nearby that hold fish, there is plenty of places to shoot fish. If you're bringing the barge, I'll have to put you on a lake. The river depths vary so much I don't know how it drafts, so it would be the Wabash or a lake (Freeman, Shafer, or Missisenewa Resevoir).

Thanks Dustin, I appreciate that! Some folks can be pretty tight lipped about fishing spots. You were very helpful at the GLBC too.

The barge drafts fairly shallow, it was the troller hitting bottom that kept us out of the really skinny water. That's why we're putting a fan on it. We'll see how that goes.
