State Shoot date change!

Unfortunately we have to change the date of our Illinois Bowfishers State Championship.

We are unable to pull permits for either the first or second weekend in June.
We are looking at the new date being the 22nd-23rd of May.

On the upside, the boating traffic will be slightly lighter. It should be good for the carp spawn. On the downside, the date conflicts with the BASI's Benefit tournament on Rend Lake.

I really hate to do this as we very rarely ever change dates but there's not much choice.
We could try to move to a different lake but I don't know of any in Central Illinois that would be big enough, not have boat sticker fees and or horsepower restrictions ....and would provide fish disposal.

We did have it on that weekend once before because I remember shooting all night long and then having a 10 hour drive that morning to the cabin in the U. P. I don't look forward to that again but when you have no choice, "you got no choice"

Hope I can make it, would like to shoot in at least a coupls of tournaments this year, we'll see..
