Big heads

Well my St. Louis cousin Marty went to the carlyle dam today. Said he had the river all to his self until around 2pm. The big heads were everywhere. He was by his self and was able to shoot 20 he put in the boat. The water is down and said that they were everywhere. Also on a good note he was able to give them all away to shore fishermen.

Looking forward to wacking a few myself next friday..

Well the results are in. We boated 33 big heads in 4.5 hours of fishing. Was really tough to spot them. When i get the pictures posted you can see all the water scum in the background. My best for the day was a dismall 27# 14 oz. only to be beat out by KBI-Prez's 37# 14 oz. which puts him in the front seat in the IB9C with about 10 days to go. Also was able to meet Jerry Nicholson from Peoria area and his buddy. They had a hard time spotting them. As far as i know they shot some gar and 2 big heads. Hopefully i can get christine to post the pictures for me.

Even after being schooled by Johnny B,I saw nothing in the water.My buddy shot 2.Never thought I would say this,I can't wait to go to the Ill. river tomarrow to shoot silvers.LOL "I know I will see them." It was nice to meet you all.Thanks for loaning my buddy the glasses.BTW he wants me to go to the Missippi river.If we go I will let you know how we do.
