Shad bill is now LAW!

Taking Shad and Drum in Illinois by Bowfishing is legal!

The Senate bill finally went into law Thursday August 13th and is now public act 96-0433.

Thanks to all who helped the Illinois Bowfishers get this accomplished. Especially our friends in IDNR fisheries, and all who called the legislators. It has been a lot of work and a long time coming, but we couldn't have done this without you.

Great, And thanks to you for your effort as well. And to think that I know where the new state record shad is hanging out. Do not ever remembering seeing a drum while bowfishing. But I guess that they are out there somewhere.

Very nice work. Another reason why I'm proud to be associated with this club. It works to the benefit of all bowfishermen in the state with a "Can do" mentality.
